I’m passionate about crafting interesting and affecting stories both big and small. My reporting background includes coverage of sports, government, and business, among other topics; a particular strength and fondness of mine is writing engaging features and profiles.

My work has been featured in The Spokesman-Review, The Pacific Northwest Inlander, The Tri-City Herald, ProJourno.org, The Lynden Tribune, The Bellingham Herald, Discover Magazine Online, WhatcomTalk.com., and Salish Current.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Production from Washington State University.

    I enjoy your work. In particular, I noticed your piece in Salish Current, “Bellingham to be a two-newspaper town again . . . ”

    In your research, did you run across the name of Harry W. Patton? He is my great Grandfather and was the publisher of one of the early Bellingham papers. i am trying to reconstruct his history with the Bellingham press.

    In 1906, Patton bought land on Orcas, near where I live today.
